  2. Dear Swamiji
Please accept my most respectful pranam.
The suspense was well worth it!

It was indeed very inspiring to read about Revered Swami Atmasthananda Ji, how he practiced the Narayan Seva and inspired you all to continue and expand the service in diverse forms. Through numerous incidents you presented the various dimensions of his great personality so well, that we could get the glimpse of a bhakta, the tremendous karma yogi, a master administrator, a visionary, a great spiritual leader, a loving commander for the monastics…all in one. Blessed are those who could come close to this great sage of the Ramakrishna order!
Are there any stories to share how Revered Maharaj Ji used to interact with the Munda Tribes?

The “witness to wonder” section reminded us with awe the tremendous distaste Thakur had for “gold”, and how He prevented the ideal not to be tampered in any form!

The alliterated subtitles are really apt for each of the subsections, which made the reading even nicer…and as a reader, we felt only sad as the article came to an end, as we would always like to read more!
What is the date for next posting?
With loving regards and most respectful pranam

My article on Revered Swami Atmasthananda Ji Maharaj was only a tip of the hidden iceberg! How many people saw him in close quarters and got invaluable benefits from his holy company! I understand that the Centenary Committee to celebrate the 100 years of Revered maharaj is bringing out a Souvenir where many, many people – monks and devotees – have written their memoirs. It was to be published on the 10th May at Kolkata but the function got postponed indefinitely due to the prevalent trying times. I will get a few copies of that book for Ireland devotees in due time.
His interaction with Munda Tribes was wholly spectacular. At one glance, he could make these poor tribals his own. Hence, the villagers in surrounding areas came to him for succour and sustenance. One hundred beds in the Indoor department were reserved for these tribal patients. He was the source for starting Milk Scheme for the tribal children. He built a Dam on the flowing waters that could facilitate water irrigation freely to the fields of the tribals. Many came and took mantra diksha too.

    Revered Maharaj,
I am very happy to read the continuation of Inexhaustible Inspiration which is truly that!
Though I was not fortunate enough to get direct personal darshan of President Atmasthananda Ji Maharaj, it was heartwarming to read reminiscences of him from many Swamis and know how he was very dedicated to Swamiji’s ideals and enhancement of Sri Ramakrishna Order and inspiring to all brahmacharis and monks. It thrilled me to read how Swami Shantananda Ji conversed with Holy Mother and Sri Thakur to Swami Abhedananda Ji Maharaj! It does increase my love, respect and faith in Gurumaharaj and Holy Mother and I feel blessed again and again to come for shelter at their holy feet.
Please keep on sending these inspiring holy messages to us Maharaj! Very grateful to you.

Thanks for your visit to this Blog and giving your valuable comment!
The very purpose of this Blog is to provide eSatsang to those who are unable physically to visit any Centre and be associated with monks. And now, during these trying times of isolation and social distancing, reading of this blog has gained a quite a good number of readers, thanks to the increase in the usage of the Internet.
I would be grateful if everyone can forward the Blog link in their own groups in WhatsApp or whatever medium one is familiar with. The idea behind this is “what joy I get, let others also must get”.

  5. Revered and dear Maharaj,
    Please accept my pranam.
I feel very much blessed and fortunate to have gone through your inspiring reminiscences of Most Revered Swami Atmastananda Ji Maharaj. What a divine life! It is indeed befitting that Sri Thakur had chosen him as His conduit for His spiritual power to flow through him.
After reading your post, I went through his short biography as uploaded in Belur Math website. I felt thrilled to read that he was engaged in many relief activities risking his own life.
I fondly ever remember my stay in Ranchi ashram in March 2015 for a week in your holy company. How happy were the Dungri villagers in according a ceremonial welcome to you and having community feast. I felt blessed to see the constructed dam.
Reminiscences of Swami Shantananda Ji by Revered Maharaj are very thrilling enabling to instill undecaying faith in the continuing presence of the Holy Trio. I was fortunate to visit the ‘kutia’ and spend sometime in his thoughts.
You have a unique way of responding to the comments in such a delightful fashion. You continue to provide that ‘extra’ (as in the words of Sri Thakur)!

Happy that we are reconnected now through this blog!
I do remember vividly your kind visit to Ranchi TB Sanatorium and how we travelled to Belur Math and other places of pilgrimage in the year 2015. Your reminiscences of your stay at our Ranchi TBS and further travels with me may be of great interest to read as you are a good writer. Your emails are such a wonderful treasure!

  6. Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramakrishnaya!
    Revered & dear Maharaj,
    Please accept my pranam.
I’m overwhelmed by your words of appreciation for me, although I’m aware that I don’t deserve it.
After our visit, I should have jotted down in my diary. Among other things, it was very much touching to hear from you how the President Maharaj (Most Revered Swami Atmasthanandaji) expressed his love (full of matru bhava – you mentioned) by affectionately touching you and stroked your face despite his physical limitations.
I was indeed very much happy to see the blessed Ranchi devotees and enjoyed your Satsang in their homes.
I hope & pray that you are keeping fine.
Please take care, Maharaj, for your holy life is precious to one and all.
Please excuse me for delayed response.

You write so well that the whole scene comes alive in front of us.
It is indeed like a Satsanga. Hope that we will be able to read more such blogs on the Mahapurush Swamijis of Sri Ramakrishna Mission.

      Thanks for your kind words!
If you have been enjoying my articles on the past Swamis of our Order, know it is by His grace only that they are appealing to you.
The Vedanta Kesari, a monthly English spiritual journal of Chennai Math is bringing out a special issue on the past Swamis of our Order. You will find plenty of references to the Swamis written by many monks and devotees. I will inform you once it gets published.
May Sri Ramakrishna bestow His grace!
