      Dear Mary
My apologies for completely missing your valuable comment given exactly 3 years before! I hope that you are still in blog-connect!
Yes, I do remember you! After getting down at the Brisbane airport with two devotees, we (me plus my host Swami Atmeshananda and the guests) drove straight to your home and we had sumptuous lunch there. Now, Brisbane Centre has come up very well. All by His grace and the unstinted efforts by the local Swami.
May the blessings of Sri Ramakrishna be with you all.
      Love, best wishes and prayers

  2. Blog service- private diary for public consumption

    Dear Swamiji
Please accept my loving regards and sashtanga pranam.
It is so wonderful to go through your various blogs over the years!

It is a delight to read the title at first, and appreciating the alliteration (e.g.Prodigious Pritida, My Memories of a Mahatma …and many such..), suitably blended with the theme that sets the ambience. In addition, many a time, there is an element of suspense given in the title (e.g. Brushing Bhagawan off…!), which makes it even more interesting to read the article holding the breath!

With  your elegant writing style, one can effortlessly visualize you narrating the stories just in front of us pretty vividly! Following the reading and reflection of the Gospel and Mother’s Life from your voice, the so-called silent write ups quickly embrace your voice and start to reverberate in the ears.

Of course it touches the hearts of the readers and move them deeply beyond words, and all the comments sections are full of evidence of such sincere feelings.
Blessed  are the devotees globally, who have had the good fortune to come in contact with you and be inspired…

May The Holy Trio continue to Shower Their Grace in abundance on you  is our sincere prayer!
With warmest regards and most respectful pranam,

      Dear Malabika
It was indeed a pleasant surprise to receive a message from you, one of the Dubliners and this, the very first comment from Ireland!
Thanks for visiting this blog and sending in your hearty appreciative words! Yes, this blog is a two-way affair as I give utmost importance to all the comments that come in. Actually, I have heard privately from some that the ensuing dialogue between the devotees and me, below the main post, is more interesting than the Post itself!
You have well described the three points that are justified by me in writing the Posts – 1) Alliterate Titles, 2) Vivid Details and 3) Conversation through Comments.
One SA devotee on 2 March 2008 commented that “…Maharaj’s blog is a thoroughly modern approach to making Swamiji accessible to us all, and we are thankful. By embracing this type of technology, the limitations of time and space are transcended. Now it is almost effortless to strengthen our bonds with Swamiji and the great mission of Sri Ramakrishna.”
Started on 28 Jan 2008, with an avowed object of holding eSatsang due to the demands of devotees, when the concept of “private diary for public consumption” was not a popular ‘in-thing’ among our monks (and was taken approvingly with a derisive smile!), if this reaches all over the globe is because the readers encouraged me to continue it.
The WordPress platform is all free but the readers would see many adverts. Appalled by the absolutely unconnected (sometimes distasteful!) adverts, one devotee in SA offered subscription to remove all kinds of adverts in my blog! Thanks to him, my Blog had no advert of any such distraction.
If I am silent for a few weeks, I do get reminded by people from different countries urging me to restart my Posts.
These are all trying circumstances all over the globe. Take sufficient care and precautions whenever you are outside the home. Stay safe!
May the blessings of Sri Ramakrishna and Ma Sarada be with you all.
      Love, best wishes and prayers
      Swami Vimokshananda
